Beschrijving keerzijde Central field displays the 'Aparajeyo Bangla' (Invincible Bengal) sculptural monument, depicting three freedom fighters — a male soldier standing centrally with bare torso, a female figure to his left holding a book, and another armed combatant to his right — rendered in high relief against a plain field. Two five-pointed stars flank the lower legend. Aanvullende informatie

The Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge, completed in June 1998, was the largest infrastructure project in Bangladesh's history and one of the longest bridges in Asia at the time of its opening, spanning 4.8 kilometers across the Brahmaputra. It physically connected the previously isolated northwest of the country to Dhaka for the first time by road and rail, a division that had shaped the country's economic geography since Partition. This coin was issued the same year the bridge opened.
