| 正面描述 | At Left-Portrait of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (Bengali: শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান; 17 March 1920 – 15 August 1975), shortened as Sheikh Mujib or Mujib. He was a Bangladeshi politician and statesman. He is called the `Father of the Nation` in Bangladesh. He is considered to be the driving force behind the independence of Bangladesh. He is popularly dubbed with the title of `Bangabandhu` (Bôngobondhu `Friend of Bengal`) by the people of Bangladesh. At middle - National Martyrs` Memorial (Bengali: জাতীয় স্মৃতি সৌধ Jatiyo Sriti Soudho). It is the national monument of Bangladesh, set up in the memory of those who died in the Bangladesh War of Independence of 1971, which brought independence and separated Bangladesh from Pakistan. The monument is located in Savar, about 35 km north-west of the capital, Dhaka. |
