| 表面の説明 | The obverse features the national coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic prominently displayed in the silver centre field, depicting a stylised eagle with spread wings beneath a rising sun over mountain peaks, encircled by a wreath. The coat of arms is itself rendered in the form of a tunduk (the crown of a traditional yurt) framing the central motif. The Cyrillic legend КЫРГЫЗСТАН УЛУУ ЖИБЕК ЖОЛУНДА (Kyrgyzstan on the Great Silk Road) arcs along the upper portion of the outer gold ring, with decorative Kyrgyz ornamental scrollwork flanking the lower field. The date 2009 appears in the lower exergue of the silver centre. |

Issued as part of Kyrgyzstan's ongoing commemorative program honoring sacred sites of the Fergana Valley and surrounding regions, this coin marks Sulaiman-Too — the ancient mountain in Osh that UNESCO added to its World Heritage List in 2009, the same year this piece was struck. That inscription was the first in Central Asia under the cultural landscape category, making the timing deliberate rather than coincidental.
The bimetallic construction — silver centre set within a gold ring — was a relatively expensive production choice for a country whose economy was still fragile following the turbulent post-Soviet decade.
