正面描述 The obverse bears a right-facing portrait vignette of military aviator José Abelardo Quiñones Gonzáles, set against a finely worked guilloche underprint. A vignette of his Caproni Ca.113 biplane in an inverted attitude appears above the portrait. The bank name and denomination are rendered in intaglio lettering within the overall design.

备注

The nuevo sol was introduced in 1991 to replace the inti at a rate of one million to one — one of the more extreme redenominations in Latin American history, driven by hyperinflation that had peaked at roughly 7,650% annually in 1990. This note belongs to the first generation of nuevo sol issues, before the series was later revised with upgraded security specifications.

Thomas De La Rue's London production is confirmed for this type. The security thread and watermark combination was relatively modest for the period, reflecting the denomination's position in the lower-middle range of the series rather than any cost-cutting in design policy.
