Obverse description Intaglio portrait of Garcilaso Inca de la Vega in armour occupies the right portion of the note, with his name inscribed below. To the left, a vignette of his historic house in Cuzco is rendered in fine line engraving. The Peruvian national coat of arms appears centrally within a guilloche underprint, beneath the issuing authority's title and the bearer clause "PAGARA AL PORTADOR". Three facsimile signatures appear along the lower centre, identified by their respective titles: Director, Presidente, and Gerente General.
