Reverse description The crowned quartered royal arms of Great Britain occupy the central field, displaying in the four quarters the lions of England, the fleurs-de-lis of France, the lion rampant of Scotland, and the harp of Ireland, surmounted by a large imperial crown with cross pattée finial. The date 1692 appears in the upper left field beside the crown. The encircling legend MAG · BR · FR · ET · HIB · REX · ET · REGINA reads continuously around the shield, with the legend beginning at the upper right and terminating at the lower portion of the coin. The entire design is enclosed within a finely milled border.
