Obverse description Central brass insert bearing the coat of arms of Somaliland, depicting an eagle displayed above a shield flanked by two olive branches, with a balance scale above and a handshake motif below, all rendered in raised relief. The numeral '10' appears prominently at the base of the brass centre, straddling the boundary between the insert and the outer ring. The copper-nickel outer ring carries the circular legend 'BAANKA SOMALILAND' along the upper arc and 'SHILIN 10 SHILLINGS' along the lower arc, in incuse lettering.
