Obverse description Printed in red on white paper. A circular vignette to the left contains a right-facing portrait of King George V within an ornate cartouche surmounted by the royal cypher 'GR'. The large bold legend 'Ten Shillings' runs across a central band, with the numeral '10/-' displayed in large figures to the upper right. The legal tender and issuing authority inscriptions appear in script above, and the facsimile signature of John Bradbury as Secretary to the Treasury is placed to the lower right alongside the serial number.
