Reverse description The central field features a finely detailed depiction of a Chinese dragon in the traditional East Asian style, shown in dynamic movement with clawed feet, scaled body, and open jaws. To the lower left of the dragon, the Chinese character for dragon (龙) is incused in the field. Below the central motif, the word 'DRAGON' appears as a legend, with the year '2000' in large numerals beneath it. Surrounding the periphery of the coin, nine years of the Chinese Year of the Dragon are inscribed in sequence separated by dots: 1904, 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, and 2000.
