| Opmerkingen |
Uganda's 1979 issue followed the overthrow of Idi Amin in April of that year, and the new government moved quickly to establish visual distance from the Amin-era notes. De La Rue had also printed the preceding series, so the transition was logistical as much as political — the same printer, a changed design.
Pick 11 is notably short-lived as an issue type; the shilling denominations of this series were soon displaced by inflation that rendered 10 shillings functionally worthless within a few years of release.
