背面描述 The reverse is rendered in teal and blue-green tones, with the central vignette illustrating a traditional dhow boatbuilding scene: workers are shown constructing a wooden vessel on shore, with a larger dhow visible in the water behind them, evoking Somalia's seafaring heritage. The Arabic inscription of the bank name appears at the top alongside "SOMALI NATIONAL BANK" in Latin script, with the denomination stated as "10 SOMALI SHILLINGS" at upper right and "10 SHILIN SOOMAALI" at lower left. Intricate geometric and foliate guilloche panels border both vertical edges.

备注

The Somali National Bank's 1975 series was issued during the early years of Siad Barre's Scientific Socialism experiment, a period when the government was simultaneously nationalizing industries, introducing a new Latin-based Somali script (officially adopted in 1972), and attempting to sever financial and cultural ties with the colonial order. The banknotes were one visible expression of that project — Somali language text replacing the Italian-English bilingual conventions of earlier issues.

Thomas De La Rue printed this series, as they had the preceding issues. The watermark security is modest for the period, though counterfeiting was not a significant documented problem with Somali currency at this denomination.
