The denomination '10/-' appears in each corner, with the issuer's name and promise-to-pay legend across the upper portion, below the country title 'FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA'.

The denomination '10/-' is repeated in each corner with 'TEN SHILLINGS' lettered in bold across the lower centre.
