| Opmerkingen |
Uganda's first banknote series, issued in 1966 shortly after the country had abandoned the East African shilling in favor of its own currency. The Bank of Uganda was only established in 1966, making this among the earliest notes it ever produced. Bradbury Wilkinson, then operating from New Malden, printed much of Britain's colonial and post-independence currency work during this period — their intaglio output for newly sovereign African states was considerable through the 1960s.
The Pick 2 designation places this as the second listed note in Uganda's inaugural series.
