Commenti	Rhodesia's Unilateral Declaration of Independence in November 1965 created an immediate practical problem: the country needed its own currency but could not openly procure it through normal international channels. This note, issued under the Reserve Bank of Rhodesia, was printed by Rhodesian Security Printing — a name that obscures the actual production arrangement. The omission of any printer's imprint on the finished note was deliberate, shielding the identity of the facility involved from international scrutiny during the UDI sanctions period. Bruce's tenure as Governor coincided with the most diplomatically isolated years of the Rhodesian financial system.
