Popis líce	A central circular vignette engraved in intaglio presents a coastal scene with tall palm trees on a tropical beach, framed by intricate guilloche rosettes at left and right and the denomination '10/-' in large numerals on each side. The issuing authority 'TERRITORY OF WESTERN SAMOA' and 'BANK OF WESTERN SAMOA' appear in bold letterpress across the upper portion, with the date and place of issue 'Wellington, 1 May 1961' printed below the central vignette. Two manuscript signatures appear at lower left and lower right, identified respectively as Minister of Finance and Financial Secretary of Western Samoa, with the printer's imprint of Bradbury Wilkinson & Co. along the bottom margin.
