Reverse description The reverse is composed entirely of elaborate multicolour guilloche lacework in olive-green and rust-brown tones, with a large central shield bearing the denomination '10/-' and the inscription 'TREASURY NOTE' below it. 'TERRITORY OF' arcs across the top, 'BANK OF WESTERN SAMOA' is centred beneath it, and 'WESTERN SAMOA' curves along the lower border, all in bold serif lettering. The words 'TEN SHILLINGS' are repeated vertically in the left and right margins within the guilloche pattern, and the legal tender clause appears in a straight line across the lower portion of the note.
