Fiji's colonial currency administration required three signatories per note throughout this series — an unusually rigid control mechanism reflecting the small colony's tight financial oversight under the Western Pacific High Commission. The signature combinations changed frequently, tracking personnel rotations among the Treasurer, Colonial Secretary, and Governor's office rather than any monetary policy shift.

De La Rue printed the plates in London, with dates and signatures applied locally in Suva. The span from 1918 to 1933 produced at least ten distinct signature combinations across nine recorded dates, making this one of the more granular colonial issues for date collectors working the Pacific region.
