| Opis awersu | The Somali national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a heraldic shield charged with a five-pointed star, supported on either side by leopards rampant, and surmounted by a mural crown. Beneath the shield, a scroll with two crossed palm branches forms the base of the achievement. The Somali legend JAMHUURIYADDA DIMOQRAADIGA SOOMALIYA arcs along the upper periphery, with the Arabic equivalent along the inner arc below it. The commemorative dates 1969-1979 appear in both Arabic-Indic and Western numerals in the lower central field, flanked by the Arabic inscription for the tenth anniversary of the revolution. The Somali legend SANNAD GUURADII 10AAD EE KAGAANKA curves along the lower border. |
