Obverse description The entire field is occupied by the Shi'ah Kalimah inscribed in bold thuluth script, arranged in multiple horizontal registers framed by a beaded inner border. The central legend comprises the shahada followed by the names of the Twelve Imams of Twelver Shi'ism. Floral and arabesque scroll decorations fill the margins between the inner beaded circle and the outer beaded rim, characteristic of Safavid calligraphic coinage. The inscription reads from right to left in deeply struck, high-relief Arabic script, with each line separated by a finely incised linear rule.
