| Reverse description | The reverse field is dominated by the Shahada (Islamic profession of faith) rendered in bold, deeply struck Nasta'liq calligraphy across two registers: the upper register bears the first part of the declaration, لا اله الا الله (There is no god but God), while the lower register carries محمد رسول الله (Muhammad is the Messenger of God). The AH date ۱۱۳۶ (1136 AH / 1724 CE) is inscribed in the lower portion of the field beneath the main legend. The calligraphic strokes are executed in high relief with pronounced curves and sweeping terminals, consistent with the bold Nasta'liq style of Hotaki coinage. The design is enclosed within a pellet border matching the obverse, forming a continuous decorative frame around the entire circumference of the coin. The recessed field surrounding the legend shows the characteristic uneven surface of a hand-hammered silver flan. |
