Obverse description Black intaglio printing on a light blue wave-pattern guilloche underprint with magenta overprint elements. A large bold letter 'B' dominates the centre of the field as an underprint device, flanked by an ornate cartouche vignette at left enclosing the Japanese character 拾, with the denomination expressed in both Japanese kanji (錢 拾) and English (TEN SEN) in magenta letterpress. The heading MILITARY CURRENCY appears in a ruled panel at top, with SERIES 100, the numeral 10, and 軍票 (military currency) cartouche at bottom centre.
