Obverse description Central round hole surrounded by a scalloped cartouche, flanked on either side by the denomination characters 十錢 (10 Sen) set within an overall wave-pattern (seigaiha) background filling the field. The chrysanthemum Imperial seal appears at the top above the hole, while stylized paulownia flowers and their heart-shaped leaves are positioned below, framing the central aperture. The entire design is bordered by a raised beaded rim.
