| 备注 |
The "Baru" designation — meaning "new" — was applied to distinguish this emission from earlier Republican issues circulating in the same denominations during the Indonesian National Revolution. Indonesia was still engaged in its independence struggle against the Dutch in 1949, and the Republican government issued currency from its besieged interior territory, not from any formal central banking institution.
Pick 35B differs from 35A in signature combination. Both are scarce; the Republican administration had no access to sophisticated printing infrastructure, and notes from this period deteriorate badly due to the low-grade paper used under wartime conditions.
