Reverse description The reverse presents a finely detailed depiction of the 'Sape' (also known as the Sapeh), a traditional boat-lute string instrument of the indigenous peoples of Borneo, shown in three-quarter perspective occupying the central field. The instrument's body, strings, and decorative ornamentation are rendered with considerable engraving detail. The field is otherwise unadorned, with no legends or inscriptions, allowing the cultural motif to serve as the sole design element.
