正面描述	Red-brown and multicolour note with the bank seal vignette (steamship) at upper left and an intaglio portrait of Afonso de Albuquerque at right. Guilloche underprint covers the central field, with the denomination numeral 10 repeated at all four corners. The date and decree inscription run along the lower portion of the note.

背面描述	Printed in red-brown, the reverse carries a central vignette of a female figure at left observing sailing ships at centre, with the Portuguese Royal Arms appearing at upper right. The composition is framed by decorative guilloche borders typical of Bradbury Wilkinson's engraving style.
