背面描述 The reverse echoes the obverse design layout, with a portrait vignette of President Sukarno in an oval frame at left and a volcanic landscape vignette to the right, printed in blue-grey tones. The denomination '10' is repeated in each corner within decorative guilloche borders. The central inscriptions and serial number placement mirror the obverse arrangement.

备注

ORI — Oeang Repoeblik Indonesia — was the first currency issued by the newly proclaimed Republic, introduced on 30 October 1946 despite the 1945 date printed on the notes. The date refers to the year of independence, not production. Printing was handled domestically under severe wartime constraints, which accounts for the inconsistent ink quality and paper variation seen across survivors of this series.

The Dutch blockade made distribution as politically fraught as production. Carrying ORI in Dutch-controlled zones was treated as a criminal act, and notes were frequently confiscated or destroyed. Genuine circulation examples that survived the subsequent Dutch military actions and the 1950 monetary consolidation are accordingly uncommon.
