正面描述 The copper-nickel centre features the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar — the national emblem of India — depicted frontally with three lions visible atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra, rendered in high relief against a engine-turned field. The motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth alone triumphs') appears in Devanagari script immediately below the emblem. The denomination '₹10' is prominently inscribed in the lower portion of the centre, with the country name 'भारत' in Devanagari along the left arc and 'INDIA' in Latin along the right arc of the aluminium bronze outer ring.

附加信息

Issued to mark the 525th birth anniversary of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the 15th-century Bengali Vaishnava saint whose devotional movement reshaped Hindu practice across Bengal and Odisha. The commemorative was part of a broader Indian government program producing bimetallic ten-rupee pieces honoring religious and cultural figures — a series that grew so prolifically in the 2010s that many issues saw negligible circulation, going directly into collector sets or sitting unspent in bank vaults.

Chaitanya's birth year is traditionally given as 1486 in Nabadwip, present-day West Bengal.
