Obverse description Central device depicts the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, shown in high relief above the Dharma Chakra wheel on its abacus. Immediately below the emblem, the national motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate) is inscribed in Devanagari script. The denomination '10' appears prominently in the lower field, flanked by the word 'RUPEES' in Latin script along the right arc and 'रुपये' in Devanagari along the left arc. The legend 'भारत' in Devanagari appears on the upper left and 'INDIA' in Latin on the upper right, together forming a bilingual circular legend around the periphery.
