Obverse description Portrait vignette of King Mahendra Bir Bikram in military uniform with cap and glasses at left, set within a decorative guilloche border with floral scroll ornamentation. To the right of the portrait, a vignette of the Amitabha Buddha statue rendered in intaglio against a light underprint. Devanagari inscriptions of the bank name and denomination appear in the upper and central fields, with the Governor's signature and seal in the lower centre.

Reverse description Central vignette of Singha Durbar, the grand neoclassical government palace in Kathmandu, rendered in fine intaglio line work with its ornamental reflecting pool and formal gardens in the foreground, flanked by trees. A decorative guilloche border of floral motifs frames all four sides. The denomination numeral '10' appears at lower left and right corners, with trilingual denomination inscriptions in the lower panel.
