Obverse description The Ashoka Lion Capital, the national emblem of India, depicted centrally in high relief, showing three lions passant upon an abacus adorned with a dharmachakra (wheel). The national motto in Devanagari script 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate) appears below the emblem. The denomination '10' in large numerals is positioned at the base of the design, flanked by 'RUPEES' in Latin script to the right.
