| Obverse description | The copper-nickel centre features the country name in three scripts — Sinhala, Tamil, and Latin — arranged in the upper field, reading 'ශ්රී ලංකා', 'இலங்கை', and 'SRI LANKA' respectively, with a row of Braille dots below. The large numeral '10' dominates the centre, flanked on the left by the denomination in Sinhala ('රුපියල්') and Tamil ('பத்து'), and on the right by the denomination in Tamil ('ரூபாய்') and Latin ('RUPEES'), with 'TEN' rendered below the numeral.
