Obverse description Dark blue-green intaglio print on cream paper, with an ornate guilloche border enclosing the central design. To the right, an oval vignette bears a right-facing portrait of King George V in full imperial regalia and crown, rendered in fine line engraving. The centre carries a landscape underprint of tropical foliage and a distant hill, above which the promise-to-pay legend and denomination 'TEN RUPEES' are set in bold letterpress; the lower left panel bears the signature of the Controller of Currency for the Government of India.
