| Obverse description | The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, is depicted centrally in the field, rendered in high relief with three lions visible atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra flanked by animals. Immediately below the capital, the Devanagari motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth Alone Triumphs') is inscribed. The denomination '10' appears prominently in the lower field, flanked by 'RUPEES' in Latin script to the right and 'रूपये' in Devanagari to the left. The country name is rendered in both Devanagari 'भारत' to the left and 'INDIA' in Latin script to the right, arching along the upper periphery. Small decorative mint marks punctuate the border at cardinal and intermediate points. |
