The Seychelles 10 Rupees P#12 spans a remarkably long print run for a Crown Colony issue — from 1954 through 1967, covering the transition from one commissioner to the next as signatories changed four times without any redesign. Julian Asquith, who signed twice across two separate dates, was the grandson of British Prime Minister H.H. Asquith, a biographical footnote that occasionally surfaces in collector discussions of the series.
De La Rue's involvement was unbroken throughout, typical of British colonial currency arrangements of the period. The watermark remains the primary security feature — no metallic thread, no UV elements.
