Obverse description The national coat of arms of the Republic of Seychelles occupies the central field, depicting a shield supported by two billfish (marlins), surmounted by a coco-de-mer palm tree, a tortoise at the base, and a white-tailed tropicbird as crest. The motto ribbon below the shield bears the legend FINIS·CORONAT·OPUS in the field.
