| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features the traditional Nepalese royal cipher within a square cartouche divided into six panels, each containing Devanagari inscriptions spelling the royal name and title of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. The cartouche is flanked by ornamental devices including conch shells, a flame, and a crescent, all set within a circular border of beads. The Vikram Samvat year 2040 appears at the base of the central design. The overall composition follows the classical Nepalese numismatic style with a dotted outer rim. |

Below the mountain, the denomination is inscribed in both Devanagari script and Roman numerals (Rs 10), with 'NEPAL' beneath. Flanking the sides of the field, the English inscription 'ASCENT OF MT.
