| Obverse description | The obverse features the Lion Capital of Ashoka (the State Emblem of India) prominently displayed in the center of the copper-nickel inner disc, rendered in fine relief. Immediately below the emblem, the national motto in Devanagari script reads 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth alone triumphs'). The denomination '₹10' is inscribed in large numerals at the lower center of the field. The aluminum-bronze outer ring carries the bilingual country name 'भारत' in Devanagari to the left and 'INDIA' in Latin script to the right, separated by a beaded border. |
