Obverse description The copper-nickel centre features the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar — the national emblem of India — depicted frontally at centre, showing four back-to-back lions atop the Dharma Chakra abacus. The Devanagari legend 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth alone triumphs') appears in the field immediately below the emblem. The denomination '₹10' is prominently struck in the lower central field. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries the bilingual legend 'भारत' in Devanagari script to the left and 'INDIA' in Latin script to the right.
