正面描述 At left, a watermark window is reserved within the guilloche underprint, beside a vignette of Mt. Everest at left and a central intaglio rendering of the idol from Changunarayan Temple. The design incorporates fine geometric underprint patterns throughout, with the rhododendron flower watermark visible in the reserved window area at left.

背面描述 Central vignette in intaglio engraving presents a family group of blackbuck — a standing adult male with spiralling horns, a standing female, and a reclining juvenile — set against a naturalistic wooded background rendered in green. The Nepal Rastra Bank seal appears at top centre, flanked by denomination numerals '90' in Devanagari script at left and '10' in Arabic numerals at right, with a decorative arch-pattern border framing the composition.

备注

Nepal Rastra Bank's P#61 series spans a transitional stretch in Nepali political history — the country formally abolished its 240-year-old Shah monarchy in May 2008 and declared itself a federal democratic republic, which is precisely why this note and others issued around this period dropped the royal cipher that had anchored Nepali banknote design for generations. The change was not cosmetic.

Three governor signatures appear across the print run, with Khatiwada's tenure producing a single dated signature variant before the series continued under later administrations. Collectors tracking signature varieties on this issue should note that Manandhar's period alone covers the critical 2008 transition year.
