备注

Ceylon's wartime rupee series was produced at Nashik rather than through the usual British colonial printing channels because German U-boat activity in the Atlantic made shipment of finished notes from London genuinely hazardous. The India Security Press had already been supplying currency to British India, making it a practical wartime fallback for several dependent territories.

The P#36A issue spans a five-year window, so date variants within the type matter to specialists. Notes dated 1941 and those from the final years of the run can differ subtly in ink saturation due to wartime paper and ink supply interruptions at Nashik.
