| 裏面の説明 | The central vignette portrays a rural village scene in which figures are engaged in traditional craft work under the shade of a large tree, with thatched structures and palm trees receding into the background. The numeral 10 appears in large intaglio-style print at lower left, mirrored by a smaller denomination at lower right within a decorative scroll border. The issuer's name in English runs along the lower margin in bold letterpress, with the value stated at upper right. |

Bradbury Wilkinson's contract work for smaller island economies in the 1970s and 80s was substantial but rarely discussed — the firm handled currency for dozens of low-volume issuers before its absorption into De La Rue in 1990. The Maldives series of which this note forms part represented an early effort by the newly established Monetary Authority, founded in 1981, to formalize currency issuance that had previously operated under looser arrangements through the Maldives Monetary Board.
Pick 11 is the first 10 Rufiyaa under MMA authority. Watermark-only security was typical of Bradbury Wilkinson's budget-tier contracts at this period.
