Obverse description Dark blue on light yellow paper with a repeated guilloche underprint bearing the text «ГОСБАНКСССР». The year 1961 appears at the bottom centre within a decorative border, flanked by corner numerals «10». At right, an ornate teal diamond-shaped vignette contains the denomination «10 РУБЛЕЙ». The Gosbank monogram cypher appears at left, with two manuscript facsimile signatures below the issuer's name.

Reverse description Plain yellow paper printed in dark blue with the cheque's payment obligation and validity clause rendered in eleven languages, arranged in sequential blocks. Languages include Albanian, Bulgarian, Vietnamese, Hungarian, German, Chinese, Korean, Mongolian, Polish, Romanian, and Czech. Each language block gives the amount and the six-month validity period, with the validity line set in bold.
