Issued for the 75th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany, this coin arrived during a year when the Kremlin had invested enormous political capital in reshaping how that victory was commemorated — the 2020 Victory Day parade was ultimately delayed to June due to COVID-19, the first postponement since the parade's postwar institution.
