Part of Belarus's long-running nature series, this coin was issued under a program that has produced dozens of botanically themed silver pieces since the early 2000s — a deliberate attempt by the National Bank to build a collector market around the country's flora and fauna. Pad-printing, applied after striking, allows color reproduction that standard enameling cannot achieve at this scale, though the technique raises long-term preservation questions that traditional minting methods do not.
