| Additional information |
Belarus has issued dozens of flora-themed silver pieces since the early 2000s, but the Cornflower series occupies an unusual position among them — the cornflower (*Centaurea cyanus*) is the official national flower of Belarus, adopted as a symbol of the country's agricultural plains and Slavic cultural identity. The pad-printing technique applied here, which deposits colored resin onto the struck surface rather than using traditional enamel, was a relatively new production method in Belarusian commemorative coinage when this piece was issued.
