| Obverse description | At the centre, the two-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, with wings lowered, is depicted within a beaded circle. The semicircular legend «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA) curves beneath the eagle. Along the outer rim, the upper legend reads «ДЕСЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ» (TEN ROUBLES) and the lower portion bears the date «2001». To the left of the central device, the metal designation and fineness «Au 999» are inscribed; to the right, the fine metal content «1,55» and the Saint Petersburg Mint mark «СПМД» appear. |
