| Obverse description | The brass outer ring bears the legend БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA) along the upper rim and the year of issue 2009 at the lower rim, flanked on either side by stylised foliate branches that extend onto the copper-nickel centre. The central disc displays the denomination 10 РУБЛЕЙ in bold relief, with the numeral 0 incorporating a latent image security device that alternately reveals the number 10 and the abbreviation РУБ when viewed at changing angles. The mint mark of the issuing facility appears in the lower portion of the disc. |
