Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Elizabeth I facing right, her hair elaborately dressed with a pearl-encrusted diadem and flowing locks cascading behind the neck, rendered in high relief in the French medallic style attributed to Jean Dassier. The imperial effigy is finely detailed, with lace trim visible at the décolletage. A circular Cyrillic legend surrounds the bust along the periphery. The mint mark СПБ (Saint Petersburg) appears in the lower field beneath the truncation.
