| 裏面の説明 | The reverse displays a cruciform arrangement of four oval shields, each bearing one of the principal arms of the Russian Empire: the St. George and Dragon shield at top, the double-headed imperial eagle at centre, the sceptre and orb at left, and the St. Andrew's cross at right and bottom, united by ornamental scrollwork. The date is split within the cross, reading 1 7 / 5 5 in the four quadrants. A peripheral Cyrillic legend encircles the composition, denoting the issuing authority and denomination. The overall design follows the established Baroque heraldic tradition of Elizabethan-era Russian gold coinage. |
