10 Roubles

The P#268 series was printed on paper, but the Bank of Russia was already transitioning the 10-rouble denomination toward polymer by the mid-2000s, making this issue relatively short-lived. The note circulated heavily — the 10-rouble value was a genuine workhorse denomination in early post-Soviet Russia, handling everyday transactions as inflation gradually stabilized following the catastrophic 1998 rouble crisis and the redenomination that preceded this series.

High-circulation paper 10s from this period are almost universally found in poor condition. Clean examples are the exception, not the rule.
